Born on August 26, 1989 in Los Angeles, California, United States, he is the son of Monja Willis and James Harden Sr.. He attended school at Artesia High School and Arizona State University. It was in the year 2009 when he was drafted 3rd overall in the NBA draft. Since then, his basketball career became more and more successful.

As a basketball player, James is naturally a physically active person. Apart from daily basketball plays and regular exercises, he is also a very disciplined man when it comes to diet. He said in an interview that he specifically eats healthy foods such as fish. “Fish is pretty light and gives me a lot of energy,” he said. “Eating bad and not getting the proper rest takes a toll on my body, so I really try to focus on eating healthy.”

Now what’s his breakfast like? “Eggs, turkey bacon, toast, potatoes — for the most part it’s pretty simple,” he shared. “On occasion I like pancakes and waffles too.” And oh, he’s also a fan of smoothies. “The one thing I can make is smoothies– you just throw it in the blender,” he said. “Sometimes I go healthy with the greens like kale and the other nasty stuff, but sometimes I just go with the fruit. It depends on the way I feel that day.”
