The daughter of Mohamed Abdulmajid and Marian Abdulmajid, Iman Mohamed Abdulmajid was born on July 25, 1955 in Mogadiscio, Somalia. She is a renowned Somali-American fashion model, actress, and entrepreneur who is a product of University of Nairobi. Growing up practicing a Muslim religion, she is noted to be very adept in different languages including Somali, Arabic, Italian, French, and English. She was discovered by American photographer Peter Beard while she was still in college. Since then, she was seen on various fashion shows, endorsing several designers including Halston, Gianni Versace, Calvin Klein, Issey Miyake, and Donna Karan.

I never have alcohol, carbonated drinks, or red meat, though I do allow myself to cheat every so often, depending on the indulgence. I believe that exercise is not only for vanity but also for its health benefits.”
When asked about her exercises, the model said she usually visits the gym five times a week. At the gym, she usually does weight training, Yoga, and kickboxing. Apart from that, she’s also a fan of running. It’s one of the best exercises for her.
