Ginta Lapina is a Latvian model. She was born on June 30, 1989 in Riga, Latvia. She started her modeling career in the year 2005 after she was discovered by a modeling agent in Riga. In 2008, she experienced her runway debut right at the Spring New York Fashion Week in Benjamin Cho show. Soon after, she signed with Women Management modeling agency and started to walk in runways for prominent designers including Carolina Herrera, Yves Saint Laurent, Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, Shiatzy Chen, Proenza Schouler, Oscar de la Renta, Bottega, Valentino, Versace, Nina Ricci, Marc Jacobs, and many others. She was also highlighted in several magazines namely Marie Claire, Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, W, Numéro, and Dazed & Confused. Presently, she is ranked 27th on the models.com’s Top 50 Models Women List.
So what’s her usual fitness routine? During her interview with StyleCaster, she explained that she sometimes works out with a trainer. “I do work out with a trainer sometimes,” Ginta said. “Usually right before Fashion Week, when I’m trying to go to the gym at least three times a week. Of course, it very much depends on my work and travel schedule. Generally, my routine is I run or do cardio for about 40 minutes, and then I exercise for another 40 minutes, focusing on abs or jumping rope. On Sundays, I go to Pilates.”
And any diet tips she can recommend? Well, here’s one simple tip from her. “Cut the carbs immediately and drink lots of water!” she advised.
