Geraldine Estelle Halliwell, famous for her stage name Geri Halliwell, is an English pop singer, songwriter, fashion designer, actress, and author. She was born on August 6, 1972 in Hertfordshire, England. The daughter of Laurence Francis Halliwell and Ana María, she grew up being a music enthusiast. Prior to fame, she worked as a dancer in a club in Majorca and also worked as a glamour model. In 1994, she became part of the iconic British pop girl group “Spice Girls” and worked with her co-singers Victoria Adams-Beckham, Melanie Chrisholm, Emma Bunton, and Melanie Brown. Despite the hardships the group went through before their band became prominent, Gerri continued to be positive and was determined to become a successful singer together with her band mates. In 1998, she decided to leave the band and do a solo career, starting with her single “Look At Me”. After her separation with the “Spice Girls”, she was rated as the singer who has most No. 1 singles of female musicians in the United Kingdom.
To maintain her fit and fab figure, the 41 year-old pop sensation regularly exercises. She said in one of her interviews, “I do yoga once a week as well as the swing. It really helps get a great core, and is a fun workout. But it’s not easy to master straight away – you need to be quite flexible.”
And not only does she spend time doing Yoga. She also walks on a treadmill–and she does it for fun! Don’t you known that while Geri works out on her treadmill, she’s also enjoying some feel-good songs at the same time? “My new thing is a singing treadmill workout. I go through all my songs, belting them out, and find it really helps with my fitness and my nerves ahead of big performances,” she expressed.
