Federica Pellegrini is an Italian swimmer. She was born on the 5th of August 1988 in Mirano, Italy. The daughter of Cinzia Pellegrini and Roberto Pellegrini, she holds the women’s 200 m freestyle world records (long course and short course). It was in the year 2009 when she participated the World Championships which was held in Rome.
In the said competition, she became the first woman ever to breach the 4 minute barrier in 400 m freestyle with the time 3:59.15. In addition, she is also known as the first female Olympic champion in the history of Italian swimming; she is also the only Italian swimmer to have set world records in more than one event.
Swimming has always been Feredica’s passion. This sport is also her go-to exercise. She said in an interview, “My priority remains, as always, swimming.” Federica also stays fit by following an unrestricted diet. She said that she usually eats everything as long as she does not overeat. “My secret? I eat a bit of everything,” the swimmer revealed.
