Farhan Akhtar is an Indian film director, screenwriter, producer, actor, playback singer, lyricist and television host. He was born on January 9, 1974 in Mumbai, India. The son of Honey Irani and Javed Akhtar, he is the brother of Zoya Akhtar. All throughout his career, he became known for his appearances on films such as Rock On!!, Luck By Chance, Karthik Calling Karthik, and many other films.
Farhan is apparently fit and strong. What’s his workout plan? Here’s what the celebrity shared in an interview: “I sport two looks in the film – the bulky soldier and the lean runner. I stand 5’9″ tall and weigh 66 kilos. To bulk up, I had to gain an additional eight kilos. And later, I lost 10 kilos to weigh 64kg for the second look.”
For his athletic training, he said, At 6.30am, I’d start my athletic training with coach Melwyn Crasto at Priyadarshini Park in Mumbai. It involved one-and-a-half hours of sprints and flexibility exercises. Because running has a neuromuscular component, I was taught drills that break the monotony of running and help coordinate body movements. Referred to as the ABC of running, these drills isolated the phases of the gait cycle – knee lift, upper leg motion, and pushoff – and helped me become a near professional runner.
