She was born on May 8, 1983 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. A product of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she competed for Haddonfield Memorial High School in Haddonfield, New Jersey and the University of North Carolina in both middle distance running events and the javelin throw. These days, she works as an assistant coach with the Philadelphia University Cross Country program.

Now let’s get to know how this fit and strong athlete maintains a healthy diet. “I’ve been making an effort to eat better,” she said in one of her interviews. “In the past, I didn’t pay a whole lot of attention to my diet, but now I am trying to eat more whole grains, fruits, and vegetables, instead of pizza, wings, and beer. I used to look at people who watched what they were eating and think, I don’t have to do that. But I would like to get faster, and every little thing you do makes a difference.”

Erin said that she continues to work hard these days in order to be the best runner. “I’m in a good training and coaching situation now, and I plan to continue working with Coach Cook,” she said. “I’ll continue competing in the 800m and 1500m, working in particular on my speed and overall fitness.”
