Emily Jane Seebohm, OAM is an Australian backstroke, freestyle, butterfly, and individual medley swimmer. She was born on the 5th of June 1992 in Adelaide, Australia. She was 14 years of age when she won the 100 m backstroke at the 2007 Australian Championships. It was in the World Championships in Melbourne when she won a gold medal in the 4 × 100 m medley relay.
Emily stays fit by regularly following her training routine. In one of her interviews, she shared, “I train somewhere between 25-30 hours per week normally. This is mixed up with sessions in the pool. Dry land training and gym work.”
What about her diet? “No planned diet, I just try to eat good foods with a lot of fruit and veg,” Emily said. “I have lots of Uncle Tobys fruit fix bars on a daily basis as well to keep my energy levels up.” She said that becoming the best is what motivates her. “Being the best that I can be and striving to be the best at what I do.” And her advice to everyone who wants to become as healthy as her? “Train hard, listen to your coaches, like what you do and have fun,” she expressed.
