Drew Allison Carey was born on May 23, 1958 to parents Lewis and Beulah Carey. He is an American actor, comedy actor, sports executive, and a TV presenter. He started to work on television in the year 1992, particularly appearing as Herby Scroggins in an episode of the TV program The Torkelsons. The next time he appeared on screen was in the year 1993 when he was cast for an uncredited role on the TV program Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?. In 1995, he experienced his breakthrough when he had his own TV show called The Drew Carey Show which lasted until 2004. Meanwhile, he also had appearances on TV programs Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Drew Carey’s Green Screen Show and Power of 10. Presently, he serves as a game show host on The Price Is Right.
In one of his interviews, Drew shared that running made him lose extra pounds. He actually started running during the World Cup in South Africa and since then, he made it a hobby. “When I went out to the World Cup in South Africa, I would go to a local gym and the treadmill was open so I would do a 40-minute run,” said Drew. “But I usually used the elliptical. I did a 10-K last August and I did a little running to prepare for that. Then I lost the weight, so I thought,Well, screw it! I can make running my thing. I knew having a running goal or a race coming up would give me a little more motivation.”
In addition, he said, proper diet is also one of the secrets, aside from exercises, to lose weight. “It’s the diet and the exercise together,” he said.
