Donny Osmond - CelebHealthy_comDonald Clark Osmond, originally Donald Clark Osmond, is an American singer, musician, radio personality, dancer, actor, and former teen idol. He was born on December 9, 1957 in Ogden, Utah to parents Olive May Osmond and George Virl Osmond. It was when he was five years old when he first became remarkable, appearing on The Andy Williams Show alongside his siblings. A teen idol, he was the star performer in the group. Later on he pursued a solo career in singing. In 1978, he starred on the feature film Goin’ Coconuts together with Marie Osmond. And in 1979, he also appeared on The Osmond Family Hour. He eventually experienced performing in Broadway, particularly in 1982 where he played part on Little Johnny Jones. Presently, he continues to be regarded as one of the most successful singers in the industry.

According to Donny, he used to be unhealthy when he was younger. But nowadays, his lifestyle has already changed. He said in an interview, “In my teens I was a junk-food junkie. It was chips, whatever. But now I’m a grandpa and pushing 50, I’m really health-conscious. You know what changed me? When I started in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat on Broadway in 1992, I had to be in shape– I was wearing a loincloth. I did it for six years, so I was constantly in the gym, and aware of what I was eating. It set me on a good path.”

In particular, he is a lover of fresh fruits. “I eat a tremendous amount of raspberries and blueberries,” said the singer. “I can’t cook, but I make my own smoothies. I love live-culture yoghurt, strawberry or vanilla, and I top that with Trail Mix, all kinds of nuts– unsalted of course – with raisins. I sprinkle flaxseed over the mixture. And I make a mean peanut butter and banana sandwich.”
