Deborah Ann Gibson, famously known as Debbie Gisbon, is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, and actress. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on August 31, 1970 to parents Diane and Joseph Gibson. Her talent in singing became publicly visible when she was five years old as she performed in the community theater together with her siblings Karen, Michele, and Denise as well as her cousin T.J. Normandin. Growing up, she became a teen pop star during the 1980s. Her popular songs which include “Foolish Beat”, “Only in my Dreams,” and “Shake Your Love” became sensational. In 1989, she was able to release an album called Electric Youth which became successful. Soon after, she took a break in singing and started a career in Broadway. Few of her stage appearances were in 1997’s Beauty and the Beast and 1998’s Gypsy.
Debbie keeps an amazingly fit and fab figure at the age of 43. That’s because she keeps her body active by mainly doing Pilates and Yoga. She said in one of her interviews, “If I am preparing for a tour it is about stamina, so it is more cardio and Pilates and Yoga.” In addition, she also does some weight lifting. “For toning I do some light weights. These days, however, I just do what feels right. No two days are alike. Sometimes I may do yoga and dance for three hours, other days it is a simple bicycle ride!” she expressed.
When it comes to her diet, she shared, “I am not rigid with my eating, but I am aware that certain foods may have certain repercussions. If I gain more than two pounds, the next day I fast until dinner and then eat a piece of steak and salad. It resets your weight instantly — having a protein load and salad.”
