Cuba M. Gooding, Jr. is an American film actor. He was born on January 2, 1968 in Bronx, New York to parents Shirley Gooding and Cuba Gooding, Sr. Prior to fame, he started off as a breakdancer, performing at Lionel Richie when they were at the 1984 Summer Olympics which was held in Los Angeles. It was in 1986 when he started to be seen on television and played a minor role in the TV sitcom Better Days. After two years, he experienced his film debut, portraying a minor role in Coming to America. Noted as a promising and talented actor, his career progressed when he gained a lot of acting opportunities, including in films Jerry Maguire where he worked with iconic actor Tom Cruise. The said film also earned her several awards and nominations. These days, he is considered as one of the most notable actors in the industry.
To come up with a ripped physique, Cuba undergoes heavy resistance workout along with intense interval cardio training programs. He usually performs chest presses, squats and deadlifts when he’s at the gym.
