Cristiano Ronaldo, originally Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro, is a Portuguese football player born on the 5th of February 1985 in Santo António, Madeira, Portugal. Growing up, he was already seen as a child who is very fascinated with sports, particularly football. At the age of eight, he played as an amateur for the team Andorinha where his father served as an equipment manager. It was in the year 1995 when he met an opportunity to play with the local football club Nacional. But when he was diagnosed at the age of 15 with a heart condition which required him to quit football, he thought he could not do what he loves most. But of course, his condition didn’t stop the young athlete as he underwent surgery and went back to playing soon after he was fine. In 2004, he brought success to Manchester United when he scored the team’s first three goals and helped them win the championship. Currently he serves as a forward for Spanish club Real Madrid and the Portugal national team.
As an athlete which is required to maintain a body beyond healthy and fit as possible, Cristiano undergoes intense workout and healthy diet. His workout mainly focuses on strengthening his hand muscles to enhance balance and stability. He usually attends training sessions at the gym at least five times per week where he performs press-ups, push-ups, leg raising, and lat pull down.
As for his diet, he consumes foods with sufficient amount of protein. He also admitted that he is not a heavy drinker unlike other athletes. He practices balanced diet and healthy lifestyle and those are the things that make him feel fit and strong.
