Singer-songwriter, record producer and actress Christina Aguilera was born in Staten Island, New York on December 18, 1980 to parents Shelly Loraine, a violinist and pianist, and Fausto Xavier Aguilera, a soldier in the United States Army. Aguilera began her career as she played a role in the show The All New Mickey Mouse Club and gained stardom after the release of her single “Genie in A Bottle” which was a great hit and earned her a Grammy award for best new artist. Other singles that were a total hit include “Lady Marmalade”, “What A Girl Wants,” “Dirrty” and “What A Girl Wants”. Recently, Aguilera has been one of the coaches and mentors in the exciting singing competition, The voice.
Known for her wonderful voice, there’s no doubt that Christina has achieved so much today especially when it comes to her fitness. According to researches, Christina does a 10-20 minute walk on the treadmill and run before starting her work out as she likes to increase the rate of her heart and carry forward the momentum into her routine.
In one of Christina’s movies entitled Burlesque, she needed to extremely look toned and stylish at the same time as that’s what the character is aiming for. To achieve this look, Christina had to focus working on her abs by doing 350-500 reps of push-ups and other exercises like sit-ups and lunges that emphasizes the abs.
