Christopher Emmanuel Paul, better known as Chris Paul, was born on May 6, 1985 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to parents Charles Edward Paul and Robin Jones. He is an American professional basketball player who is currently playing for the NBA team Los Angeles Clippers. He got his inspiration for playing basketball from his father Charles who was an athlete during his younger years. While studying at West Forsyth High School in Clemmons, North Carolina, Chris played for the junior varsity team. During the 2005 NBA draft, he was the fourth overall pick. He was then selected by the New Orleans Hornets. It was in the year 2011 when he was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers and started playing for the team.
Lifting is one of Chris’ exercises. According to him in an interview, “Preseason I lift pretty hard, but in the season you’re playing too much. Lately, my elbows have been bothering me, so I haven’t lifted as much. One thing I do constantly is work on my core. I’m always doing different ab work, like on the physioball or using the med balls. As a guard I’m coming off ball screens, getting into the lane every game, so balance is something that I really need.”
He added that he’s also doing leg extensions. “For all the basketball that I’ve played this past summer and for all the running that I do in season, I have to make sure that I’m doing leg extensions, leg curls, different things like that,” the NBA star explained.
