Chanel Iman, originally Chanel Iman Robinson, was born on December 1, 1990 in Atlanta, Georgia. She is an American model who became famous for her work as one of the Victoria’s Secret models. She is known to be of Korean and African-American descent. She started modeling at the age of 13 with the American international modeling agency, Ford Models. In 2006, she relocated to New York and participated the Ford’s Supermodel of the World contest where she won the third place. The next year, she started to get noticed when she was highlighted in the cover of Teen Vogue which was photographed by Patrick Demarchelier. Since then, she appeared on different magazines such as Elle, i-D, Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, Lula, Allure, and Vanity Fair. She also modeled different fashion brands such as DKNY, Ralph Lauren, Bottega Veneta, GAP, Express, and others. It was in the year 2009 when she started to grace the runways of the Victoria’s Secret fashion shows and became prominent in the fashion world.
To keep her body lean, she regularly works out at the gym under the guidance of her fitness coach Jana Mitrova-Castillo. She also incorporates dancing on her workout. According to her, “I always feel that working out is something that builds muscle and is just good for you and also makes you feel wonderful inside.”
For her diet, she resorts to a diet called cookie diet. And she’s not that strict when it comes to eating foods that she likes. She eats whatever she wants without limitations. Lucky her, she seems to have that slimming genes.
