French-Canadian pop music singer Céline Marie Claudette Dion, known professionally as Celine Dion, was born on March 30, 1968 in Charlemagne, Quebec, Canada. Born as the youngest among 14 siblings, she grew up in a Roman Catholic environment and enjoyed a happy life with her big family. At 12, she was able to write and compose her own song Ce n’etait qu’un reve through the collaboration of her mother and her brother Jacques. It was in 1990 when she was finally able to launch her first album called Unison. Her breakthrough came in 1992 when she recorded Disney’s Beauty and the Beast theme song. Soon after, she became even more prominent when her songs The Power of Love, Because You Loved Me, All By Myself, and My Heart Will Go On were heard and became a trend.
Apart from being naturally talented, Celine is also noted for her slim and slender figure–which is the reason why she always looks perfect on stage whenever she’s doing her concerts. Her secret? It’s about having an active lifestyle. In one of her interviews, she shares that she usually finds time riding a stationary bike as her means of working out. “I start on the stationary bike,” she shares. “Then, I lie on my stomach on a massage table, pushing into my palms or elbows to tone my shoulder blades in order to hold my neck—which is very long—while I sing. My physiotherapist makes sure my spine is aligned and my shoulder blades aren’t stuck together.”
