Cathleen Roxanne Rigby, better known as Cathy Rigby, is an American actress, speaker, and former gymnast. She was born on December 12, 1952 in Los Alamitos, California, United States. The mother of Kaitlin McCoy, Thomas Buck Mason, Ryan Mason, and Theresa McCoy, she became notorious in the sports industry when she participated the Summer Olympics in the United States in the year 1968. Since then, she became a remarkable sports celebrity, participating on various events and competitions. For more than 30 years, she also became notable for her appearances on the play “Peter Pan”.
In one of her interviews, Cathy shared her health practices when she was still performing gymnastics in her younger days. She said, “Sometimes I ate only one meal a day, even though I was practicing eight hours a day and needed food to be strong.”
She added, “Sometimes I didn’t eat for a week and drank only apple juice. I often felt tired and dizzy. Sometimes I felt so weak, I fainted. But I lost weight.” But nowadays, she’s already practicing a balanced diet and lifestyle, which she finds a very good thing because even at the age of 62, she is still very healthy and strong.
