Actress and Writer Carrie Fisher was born in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles , California, USA on October 21,1956. She’s the daughter of Eddie Fisher who’s a Jewish and the son of immigrants from Russia and Debbie Reynolds who was a protestant of Scots-Irish and English ancestry. Being the daughter of both entertainers, Fisher’s role as Princess Leia in Star Wars (1977) and its sequels made her one of the visible actresses of her generation
Fisher encountered alcohol and drug problems and depression in the early to mid-1980’s. However, as the decade went on, she was able to get back on track both on-and-off screens.
In 1897, Fisher was able to publish her first novel entitled Postcards from the Edge which is described to be a successful semi-autobiographical tale of a mother and daughter in show business which later on was adapted into a screenplay. Along her success in writing career, Fisher also became one of the best rewriters of movie scripts.
In terms of her physique, the Star Wars actress admits that she works so hard to regain her petite figure through the help of diet and weight loss exercises. Thanks to fitness and well being guru Jenny Craig, she was able to find her way back to the way she looked.
