2014 figure skater Olympic bronze medalist, Carolina Kostner was born on February 8, 1987 in Bolzano, Italy and resides in Urtijei, Italy. Patrizia, her mother, was also a figure skater and her father, Erwin, was a hockey player in his early years and is a current ice hockey coach.
At an early age of 4, Carolina Kostner began her skating adventures. In the year 2003, she became the year’s World Junior bronze medalist, and seven-time Italian national champion. From the year 2005 up to the present, she became a medalist in various championships including five other World championships, four other European championships, and three other Gran Prix Finals.
Her remarkable physique is the result of 5 hour intense training sessions on the rink and in the gym. Her sport, which is ice skating, has helped a lot to improve her coordination and resistance, as it develops her body from head to toe.
This Italian figure skater is very conscious when it comes to her health. She enjoys a healthy Mediterranean diet and permanently eliminating bread sticks with ham in her menu list. She also avoids fried foods and sweets and even though she’s good with almost every food, she ensures that she always eat in right quantities.
