Calvin Johnson, Jr., nicknamed Megatron, is an American football wide receiver for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League (NFL). He was born on September 25, 1985 in Newnan, Georgia, United States. A product of Georgia Institute of Technology, it was on March 14, 2012 when he signed an eight-year, $132 million contract extension with the Detroit Lions. Throughout his career, he became known for being named as one of the nation’s top 10 wide receivers and top 100 players by virtually every recruiting analyst. He continues to be a prominent sports celebrity these days.
To come up with a great and fit shape, Calvin regularly works out. Usually, he starts with a breathing technique. According to his trainer Tom Bender, “It’s a five count on the inhale and a five count on the exhale.” This kind of technique boosts his heart rate.
Next, he focuses on his abs and does a 30-second single-arm planks holding in his raised hand a band that Bender pulls. Apart from that, he also performs 3 sets of 5 stepups using dumbbells that weigh 85 percent of his 1-rep max. In addition, he follows a healthy and balanced diet.
