Ashley Wagner is a well-known American figure skater born on May 16, 1991. She is the first and only child of parents Lieutenant Colonel Eric Wagner and Melissa James. Growing up, she was once a student of Whitman Middle School, West Potomac High School, Northern Virginia Community College, and Saddleback College. At Saddleback College, she studied sports journalism which made her become more enthusiastic to sports. Her passion for skating started when she was five years old and when they were staying in Eagle River, Alaska. In 2002, she joined the U.S. Junior Figure Skating Championships and placed 17th at the Intermediate level. Later on, she bagged the silver medal at the regional level competition. It was around 2006 when she had her Junior Grand Prix debut by which she won the Junior Grand Prix event held in France. She has gone through different competitions and won series of awards, making her one of the most successful figure skaters in the world. She was able to bring home the titles 2012 Four Continents champion, 2012 Skate America champion, 2012 and 2013 Trophée Eric Bompard champion, and 2012 and 2013 U.S. national champion.
As a figure skater, she regularly keeps her body active by spending her time on ice, working her muscles and toning her body apart from preparing for competitions. She also does Yoga to come up with a more flexible body. Apart from these, she also incorporates cardio exercises like running and swimming.
She’s not much of a dieter. But she’s always making it a point to eat balanced and healthy foods. She usually eats fresh fruits and vegetables. She also loves to consume protein bar and orange juice early in the morning and takes iron supplements.
