She was born on May 25, 1960 in Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom. She is the wife of Grant Bovey and the sister of Wendy Turner Webster. All throughout her career, she became well-known for her co-hosting appearances on GMTV from the year  1994 until 1996 and Blue Peter. From 1988 to 1991, she also gained fame for presenting Top of the Pops.

Anthea always makes exercises part of her daily routine. According to her in an interview, “I wouldn’t say I enjoy exercise but it is a means to an end so I run a bit but I don’t overdo it.”

When it comes to diet, she said, “I like a drink, I have a very sweet tooth and there’s nothing nicer than a chip butty but I don’t have any of those things every day. If asked I would say I’m a reasonably well scrubbed-up. I’ve stayed the same weight for most of my life, other than when I was on the ‘divorce diet’ and lost quite a lot, and I go to the gym to tone up.”
