Anjali is one fitness and health enthusiast. In fact, she usually spends 30 minutes doing exercise. Here’s what she said in one of her interviews: “For my sport (shooting) it is important to have a very flexible body along with the fitness. In the shooting posture, a shooter needs to know his body movement and muscle tensions thoroughly (we call it sensitive muscles), so I believe in Yoga and a lot many stretching exercises. A little bit of jogging, free hand exercises, mainly squats, help me build good posture. Along with the overall fitness I focus more on back muscles as it has to carry my rifle weight of around 6kg the whole day!”

As for her diet, she explained, “For any athlete a good diet is very important, but for me as a shooter I have to keep my concentration level very high with proper blood circulation, low heart rate, and good oxygen supply to make it possible. For which I avoid aerated drinks & alcohol, keep very low intake of sugar, and eat no raw salt. I like to eat fresh veggies and fruits, but I love eating non vegetarian food – Love! I eat lots of fish and chicken, occasionally red meat. My dietary routine consists of a good breakfast, small lunch and a proper dinner which includes proteins, carb and fiber.”
