Dame Angela Brigid Lansbury is a British-American actress and singer. She was born on the 16th of October 1925 in Regent’s Park, London, England. She particularly got famous because of her appearances on various films, TV shows, and even theatre plays. In 1945, she earned the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress – Motion Picture because of her impressive performance on the film The Picture of Dorian Gray. Since then, she became a notable star, earning more awards and gaining more prominence in the industry.
At the age of 89, Angela is still obviously active and healthy. Want to know her secrets? In one of her interviews, she revealed, “Strenuous exercise is something I avoid at all costs. The moves and stretches that I demonstrate on the tape are not excruciatingly difficult. But I wanted to stress that it’s okay to care about your body and look after it, to care about how you look to yourself in the mirror and to your husband. It’s okay at any age, but as you grow older, caring about fitness can be a battle.”
Angela was asked if she’s on a diet and here’s what she said: “No, and I don’t count calories. No one can stay on a diet. The only way to lose weight is to do it slowly. I lost those 15 lbs. over a period of three or four months by exercising and changing my eating habits.” Now that’s something we should put in mind.
