Amy Louise Sedaris was born on March 29, 1961 in Endicott, New York, to parents Sharon and Lou Sedaris. She started to get noticed in 1991 when she was cast on the film Big Deals, portraying the role Topaz Radulavitch. She then appeared on the TV series Exit 57 and played various roles from 1995 to 1996. In 1999, she gained further dominance in the industry when she appeared on TV series Strangers with Candy for about 30 episodes. Soon after, she was seen on various TV series including Sex and the City, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, My Name Is Earl, The New Adventures of Old Christine, The Drunk and On Drugs Happy Fun Time Hour, American Dad!, and a lot more. Presently, she lends her voice on the animated sitcom BoJack Horseman for the character Princess Carolyn.
In order to maintain her sexy figure, Amy regularly does her workout regimen which includes Pilates, walking, and running. “I’ve always done some kind of workout, but I found a great new Pilates instructor so I go twice a week. It’s expensive, but I don’t trust myself to do it on my own. They make you do it. And I’m a walker — I do stairs more than elevators,” she told the Women’s Health Mag.
And what about her diet? Well, here’s what she said: “My friend and I are on a fast. It’s more about detox than weight loss. It’s this weird thing where you take Chinese herbs. I never do this stuff, but she’s kind of granola-ish and she’s like, ‘Look, you’re working on the book, you’re really stressed out, why don’t you try this with me?’ So you take the herbs in the morning, and then you eat all the fruits and vegetables you want all day long. At first I thought, I’m never gonna make it. But I’m into my third week and I’ve never felt healthier. I’ve really got a lot of energy.”
