2012 London Olympic GamesAllyson Michelle Felix is an American track and field sprint athlete who competes internationally for the United States. She was born on November 18, 1985 in Los Angeles, California, United States to parents Marlean Felix and Paul Felix. She graduated from  University of Southern California. She also attended school at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Known as an expert in the 200 meters, she won the 2012 Olympic gold and was also able to win two Olympic silver medals and three world championship golds.

How does Allyson keep herself motivated in terms of fitness? Here’s what she said in one of her interviews: “It can be hard some times. I always remind myself of my goals, and think of my competitors and what they’re doing. Also, I enjoy the people I train with, which makes working out social. And I think that can work for everyone– instead of meeting a friend for lunch or dinner, maybe go for a run. It makes exercising fun, so you’ll want to do more of it.”

So, what’s her say about her diet? “I think the biggest thing is making sure I eat a good breakfast. Like anyone, when I’m so busy, I struggle to make the time. I’ll say, ‘I don’t have a moment to sit down and eat’. But doing so is what helps me. Plus, you’re taking a little time for yourself in the morning, which is a good thing.”
