Alice Roi, originally named Alice Roy Blumenthal, is an American fashion designer. She was born in the year 1976 in United States of America to parents Jerry Blumenthal and Naomi. She was educated at New York University and Parsons School of Design. Throughout her career as a designer, she became well-known for her creations that are usually featured in fashion magazines such as Bazaar, Elle, Nylon, and in stores like Henri Bendel in New York, Beauty Buy in Paris, and Joyce in Hong Kong. In the year 2001, she earned a nomination for the CFDA Perry Ellis Award for Womenswear.
Now what is her usual workout routine? Here’s what the designer shared in one of her interviews: “Obsessive jump-roping. I started at 20 jumps, which was really hard, and now I do 500. It’s fun.” She said that she’s also a fun of jumping jacks, bicycling, and arm exercises.
“I used to work out all the time, but when I started my business four years ago, I just dropped everything,” she elaborated. “I gained at least 30 pounds. People were commenting. It was depressing. I tended not to wear my own clothes, because I was embarrassed. They’re a little sexy. But for events and stuff, I had to wear my own clothes. I couldn’t just wear a big sweater and jeans.”
