Scottish-American actor Alan Cumming was born on January 27, 1965 in Aberfeldy, Perthshire, Scotland to parents Mary and Alex Cumming. After graduating in high school, he served as an editor and columnist for the magazine TOPS for one year and a half. Later on, he enrolled at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow and married Hilary Lyon (also a student of Royal Scottish) after graduating.
He experienced his acting debut in the year 1986 when he was cast in the basketball-drama film Passing Glory. After that, he earned lots of acting appearances including in films and TV series Mr. Bean, Second Best, Circle of Friends, Spice World, Plunkett & Macleane, The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas, The Anniversary Party, and many others. Presently, he appears in the TV series The Good Wife and Web Therapy.
Alan’s workout routine is not known, but he takes care of his health by practicing a healthy diet. In particular, he follows a vegan diet which basically means avoiding meat. This kind of diet is famous among celebrities and it in fact has lots of benefits to the body.
