Allison Joy Langer, famously known as A.J. Langer, is an American actress. She was born on May 22, 1974. She started to appear on screen in the year 1991, particularly when she was cast on the film The People Under the Stairs by which she was able to work with Brandon Adams, Everett McGill, Wendy Robie, and several other celebrities. The same year, she was also cast on the film And You Thought Your Parents Were Weird. She later appeared on the 1993 film Lightning in a Bottle as well as on The Killing Box and Arcade. Recently, she was highlighted on the 2013 comedy flick Kristin’s Christmas Past.
A.J. was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, a disease characterized by musculoskeletal pain along fatigue and sleep difficulties. How did she manage her condition? “I put on a brave face and ‘sucked it up.’ I tried to push myself and keep up physically even though I felt like I’d been hit by a train,” she told Lifescript.
She added that she also fought it through meditation. “I have regular acupuncture and massage sessions combined with daily meditation and breathing techniques,” she said. “The breathing and meditation help me focus on mind over matter. That was especially helpful when I was pregnant.”
